Who can use VerifiedWallet

You must be 18 or over to use VerifiedWallet, including to buy a certificate or complete an identity verification. By using the service you confirm that you are.

What a certificate is

A VerifiedWallet certificate attests that the holder of the stated wallet produced a valid wallet signature over a specific message (EIP-191 for EVM addresses, Ed25519 for Solana addresses, BIP-137 or BIP-322 for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Bitcoin Cash addresses, TIP-191 for Tron addresses, an XRPL account-key signature (secp256k1 or Ed25519) for XRP addresses, a CIP-8 signature for Cardano addresses, an ADR-036 signature for Cosmos addresses, a personal-message signature for Sui addresses, an Ed25519 signMessage signature for Aptos addresses (with the account's authentication key checked on-chain), a TON Connect ton_proof for TON addresses, and EIP-1271 / ERC-6492 for smart-contract wallets, checked on the network the certificate names), and that VerifiedWallet counter-signed that record at the stated time. Where an identity (KYC) or AML review is included, the certificate reflects the outcome of that review at its last update — it is not an ongoing monitoring service unless stated otherwise.

Tier 3 AML screening

A Tier 3 certificate adds screening of the holder against sanctions and politically-exposed-person lists (as part of the identity review) and on-chain screening of the wallet by a blockchain analytics provider, on each network the certificate covers. The certificate shows the result whatever it is: "no risk found", "medium risk" or "risk flagged", with a risk score per network. The result is a snapshot at the time of screening, based on the provider's data at that time. A finding can come from funds that passed through other addresses and does not by itself mean the holder has done anything wrong; "no risk found" means the screening found nothing adverse, not that the wallet is guaranteed clean.

Identity verification

Identity checks for Tier 2 and Tier 3 are carried out by our identity provider, Didit. The certificate records the outcome and the provider. Any certificate issued earlier through a test (sandbox) identity step says so on the certificate itself.

Business certificates

A Business certificate states that a company controls a wallet. You may only order one for a company you are authorised to act for. It is issued once the wallet proof is complete (for a multisig wallet, once enough key-holders have signed) and shows the company check as pending until our provider has checked the company against its registry and verified the key people it asks for. The certificate then shows the outcome, whatever it is. A multisig certificate records the signing threshold and how many keys signed at the time of issue; the wallet's signers can change later.

Revocation

VerifiedWallet may mark a certificate as revoked. Revocation is register state, not part of the signed certificate core — a revoked certificate's original issuance attestation remains valid and is not itself forged or altered by revocation.

No financial or legal advice

A certificate is not investment advice, a KYC/AML compliance guarantee for any third party's regulatory purposes, or an endorsement of the wallet holder's conduct.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis by contacting us directly; a paid, unissued certificate request expires automatically after 24 hours.
